On the first Monday in December, SAS Airlines, together with
VisitSweden, hosted a Manhattan wedding and holiday reception at
Ramscale West Village Lofts in Manhattan's West Village - to
toast to the three lucky LGBT winning couples who were the
recent winners of the SAS/Visit Sweden wedding giveaway.
On a flight 38,000 feet in the air, two LGBT European couples
were married on their way to a honeymoon in the States (New
York! West Hollywood!), while the lucky winning American gay
couple took their wedding vows at Sweden's IceHotel, nearly two
hundred miles above the Arctic Circle.
Hosted by Magnus Lindbergh, Marketing Manager of VisitSweden,
the extremely romantic winter wonderland evening included sweets
from Dufflet and flowers by Geranium Lake, as well as jewelry
from Efva Attling, the celebrated Swedish jeweler whose stunning
wedding rings adorned the fingers of all three happy couples.
Guests were serenaded by a white-robed Swedish children's choir
led by Saint Lucia wearing a crown of candles - so sweetly that
even the customarily hardboiled Sherry Vine was seen wiping away
a tear (before tearing into another salted caramel cupcake...)
DJ Steve Travolta worked the crowd with a collection of "Love Is
In the Air" disco standards. Seen: OUT editor-in-chief Aaron
Hicklin, Swedish songbird Eva Dahlgren - and a roomful of
gorgeous Swedes.
What better way to commence the holiday season than with LGBT
love and happiness!
