It might be that we’re too old – for toilet humor. Maybe, instead, we should’ve bought a box of Gummibears and played couch potato. Because where other stages have a curtain, this one has two video screens playing cartoons – instead of an overture. Subliminal suggestion? You could be home now, watching t.v. One thing’s for sure: cartoons on t.v. don’t cost you a $100 a seat.

Of course, it’s all very well-intentioned (read: didactic), but we don’t have children to teach. Or canines.

Then again, if you like puppets and vocals sung like a nursery school choir, by all means – go. Enjoy. We’ll be across the street at the bar – with the adults.
